Ancient Relic Contest

In spring 2026, we set out to find the oldest operating HVAC system in our service area and give that system the retirement it had earned. Homeowners submitted their ancient HVAC systems, and we were amazed by the response. We heard stories of HVAC systems that had been keeping Southern Arizona homes comfortable for decades, but one system took home the grand prize.

Tim and Cindy Stuckey of Green Valley won our Ancient Relic Contest with an HVAC system that had been faithfully cooling their home since 1975. That’s 51 years of Arizona summers, and we think this legendary system had more than earned its retirement.
